THIS PROJECT IS AT OWN RISK.
In my house i have two MSZ-HR35VF units of Mitsubishi Electric. Which i connected to my home assistant.
For this project i used https://github.com/echavet/MitsubishiCN105ESPHome
For this i used the following hardware:
- Premade pigtails – (select 5P option) –> https://nl.aliexpress.com/item/1005002904897793.html
- D1 Mini with ESP8266 –> https://www.amazon.nl/dp/B0754W6Z2F
To make the mod easy i repinned the pigtails to make
- 5v red
- GND black
- TX green
- RX yellow
And i removed the blue wire.
To make sure the D1 Mini works i removed the resistors near the TX and RX pins.
Please note the orientation of the connector when pinning the connector.
Also measure that you are NOT using the 12v pin (this is pin one on the connector).
For the ESP-home i used the complete intergration of the project of echavet.
I removed the horizontal vane. Because this AC unit type does not have control for that.
