I made use of an old laptop from HP a NX9010. But in in essence you can use any PC with a 3.5″ diskette drive
Note: the Sun machines use some extra sectors on the diskettes, these are the copy protection. You can see them popping up in the ‘read’ screen. Next to the green block of copied sectors.
You need to have the Shugart read mode enabled for that, but in my example the ‘auto’mode detects this. But when you have issues please set the read mode first to shugart and try again. Maybe it helps.
